"It's officially official. There will be another Black Jewels novel with a new cast of characters. The tentative publication date is March 2009."
This is a statment directly from Anne Bishop's website stating that Tangled Webs, the newest novel to join the Black Jewels family in 2008, will not be the final book in the series. Though whether all of the characters in this new mystery novel are going to be new or if we shall see some of our favourites again is currently unknown.

What is the Black Jewels Trilogy?
The Black Jewels Trilogy is a series written by Anne Bishop. Though it's called a "Trilogy", the development of the world doesn't end after the third novel; it continues in the sequel, Dreams Made Flesh and the prequel, Invisible Ring.
The world of the trilogy is completely opposite of our own; it is ruled mostly by women and men are forced to serve them. Though there is a caste system within that world (based upon what colour and magic level of jewel one had), even a high caste male was made to serve lower caste females.
The Black Jewels Trilogy holds a complex, but wonderful story in the fantasy genre. Though the main focus of the series is on "Witch", there are many other characters who have their own "story" development within the series. Though it is a mature series, full of violence and sexual content, those elements don't make the series any less than wonderful along with it's magical creatures and characters.
